DIY Vintage Tablett / DIY Vintage Tray

Es ist ganz einfach!

It is very easy!

Was man braucht: 

Holztablett

Acrylfarbe

Schwamm

Selbstklebende Folie

Klarlack

What you need: 

wooden tray

acrylic paint

sponge

selfadhesive film 

clear varnish 

Das Motiv spiegelverkehrt auf die Rückseite der selbstklebenden Folie drucken und ausschneiden. 

(Dieses Motiv habe ich hier gefunden: The Graphics Fairy)

Nun weiße Acrylfarbe mit einem Schwamm dünn auf das Holztablett auftragen und trocknen lassen.

Print the design mirrored onto the back of the selfadhesive film and cut it out.

Paint the white acrylic paint in a thin layer with the sponge on the tray and let it dry.

 Das ausgeschnittene Motiv auf das Tablett kleben.

Stick the selfadhesive film on the tray.

 Nun graue Acrylfarbe mit einem Stück Schwamm auf das Motiv tupfen.

Dab gray acrylic paint on the design with a piece of a sponge.

Jetzt die Folie entfernen und die Farbe trocknen lassen.

Now remove the film and let the paint dry.

 Etwas Asche auf das Tablett streuen und mit den Fingern verreiben.

Sprinkle some ash on the tray and rub it on with your fingers.

 Zum Schluss ein oder zwei Schichten Klarlack auftragen.

For the finish spray one or two layers of clear varnish on it.

Ein großer Spaß für Kinder!

Was man braucht:

Steine

Acrylfarben

Pinsel

Wackelaugen

What you need:

stones 

acrylic color 

paintbrush

wiggling eyes

  Die Steine mit der Farbe grundieren und trocknen lassen. 

Prime the stones with the color and let it dry. 

Und nun der Fantasie freien Lauf lassen! 

Now let your fantasies run free!

geätztes Glas "Eule" / etched glass "owl"

I have etched a Maori-Owl into a glass for mother´s day.

And here is the tutorial!

What you need: 

glass 

etching cream 

selfadhesiv film

masking tape

paint brush

paper towels

protective gloves

Print the design onto the back of the selfadhesive film and cut it out.

Clean the glass and be sure that there are no fingerprints on it.

Place the film onto the glass. Press it on and remove all bubbles.

 Apply a border of making tape around the design.

This prevents the etching cream contacted with unwanted areas of the glass.

 Attention! Read the instructions of your etching cream!

This is only an example of how to do with the cream I use!

The using of etching cream is only for adults!!!

(But you can use the designs from your children)

 Be sure that there are still no fingerprints on the glass. 

Pull the protective gloves over your hands. 

Shake the cream thoroughly. 

Work in a well ventilated area.

Apply a thick layer of etching cream with a paint brush on the glass.

Stay within the taped area.

Wait as long as it is specified in the instructions.

Than I remove the cream with the paintbrush and I give it in a plastic container.

Remove the rest of the cream with a paper towel.

 Wash off all the etching cream under luke warm water.

 Now remove the masking tape and the selfadhesive film and wash the glass again.

 Dry the glass and it is ready!

Schnell und einfach Blumentöpfe mit alten Zeitungen dekorieren.

What you need:

flowerpots

newspapers

Mod Podge

paintbrush

wooden stick  

Der Holzstab geht durch die einzelnen Töpfe, bis zum Boden des großen Topfes. Ich habe zu etwa einem Drittel in den großen Topf Steine gefüllt und anschließend mit Blumenerde aufgefüllt.
The wooden stick is going through the small pots and till the bottom of the big pot. I fill stones on the bottom of the big pot before I fill it up with potting.
